What are felt bags with a logo?

Felt bags are structured promotional bags made from felt, usually RPET felt – a needle-punched non-woven fabric made from up to 100% recycled polyester obtained from PET bottles. At a thickness of 2 mm, a shopper stands upright on its own, while 3 mm felt suits particularly rigid moulded parts; the weight is approx. 220 to 380 g/m². Felt does not fray at cut edges and can be printed, embroidered, embossed, and laser-cut or die-cut.

Felt – the structured premium promotional bag

Felt bags are our premium promotional item for brands that want to combine a high-end look and feel with a clear stance. Modern aesthetics, a soft hand feel and a structured silhouette make them a companion that stays visible in everyday life. We make them from standard felt or – mostly – from RPET felt, a needle-punched non-woven fabric made from up to 100% recycled polyester from cleaned PET bottles.

Felt is lightweight, abrasion- and tear-resistant, largely water-repellent thanks to the polyester fibre, temperature-regulating and shock-absorbing. At a thickness of 2 mm, the classic shopper stands upright on its own and keeps its calm, geometric silhouette; 3 mm versions suit particularly rigid moulded parts.

Felt offers an ideal surface for your branding: screen printing, digital and transfer printing, full-colour photo printing as well as particularly durable embroidery, hot embossing and soft rubber patches are all possible. Standard RPET felts on the market reach a recycled content of 90 to 100%; certifications such as GRS and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 are available on request.

Typical applications

Where felt bags play to their strengths

Felt bag as a delegate bag at a conference

Premium promotional bags for events and trade fairs

As a high-quality giveaway shopper, the structured felt bag carries documents and product samples and, thanks to its premium look and feel, stays in use for a long time. Embroidery or hot embossing look particularly refined.

Felt laptop sleeve

Protective cases and sleeves for tech

Thanks to its temperature-regulating and shock-absorbing properties, felt protects laptops, tablets or delicate devices in transit – the soft surface prevents scratches.

Felt shopper in a concept store

Premium reusable shoppers for concept stores

In retail and concept stores, the felt bag replaces the single-use carrier bag and underlines your sustainable brand promise at the point of sale – with a clean shape and bottom gusset.

Laser and die-cut details

Because felt does not fray at cut edges, logos, cut-outs and handles can be cleanly laser-cut or die-cut. This suits launch editions and design brands that want to stand out with crisp edges and subtle tone-on-tone effects.

How we print and finish your felt bags

  • Embroidery machine stitching a green logo onto a cotton bag

    Embroidery

The ultimate finish on felt: embroidered logos sit in relief on the dense fibre surface and look particularly premium and long-lasting – the first choice for corporate gifts and premium brands.

  • Gold hot foil stamping on a kraft paper bag

    Embossing & hot foil

Hot embossing sets your logo subtly and elegantly into the felt surface – without ink, with tangible depth. Alternatively, soft rubber patches up to approx. 30 × 30 cm complement the premium look.

  • Screen printing carousel with printed cotton bags in the ShopyBag production facility

    Screen printing

For clearly defined areas and strong colours with good opacity on the matt surface – economical for larger event and conference runs with few print colours.

  • Transfer film being peeled from a printed wildflower design on a cotton bag

    DTF printing (direct to film)

For multi-colour or photorealistic designs, we transfer the artwork using transfer or DTF printing (direct to film). This keeps fine details and colour gradients precise, even on textured felt.

Which applications and industries are felt bags best suited to?

Felt bags play to their strengths wherever the first tactile impression counts: as corporate gifts and gift sets, at conferences and congresses, in limited launch kits and at the upmarket point of sale of lifestyle, design and beauty brands. Thanks to their shape retention, they stand securely and showcase the product or gift instead of merely carrying it.

Is felt the right material for a premium giveaway or corporate gift?

For premium giveaways and corporate gifts, felt is usually the best choice, because the material thickness, matt surface and embroidered logos create a high-end look and feel that thin film or non-woven bags cannot match. For robust, water-repellent everyday bags in large runs, however, we recommend PP woven or RPET models such as the CityShopper.

How long can a felt bag be used?

Felt is structured and keeps its contour even with regular use, so the bag stays in service for a long time. Every reuse at the office, on the go or at events is another brand impression. This lowers your cost per impression and keeps your message visible far longer than a single-use carrier.

Is felt suitable as a carrier bag or shipping solution?

Felt is designed for quality, structure and feel, making it ideal for gifts, events and the premium point of sale. For heavy loads at the till or as a robust shipping solution, coated PP woven is the more hard-wearing choice. Felt is recommended when the bag should act as a brand statement rather than primarily as a means of transport.

How sustainable are RPET felt bags?

RPET felt consists of up to 100% recycled polyester from PET bottles; standard qualities on the market reach 90 to 100% recycled content. GRS certification, which verifies the recycled content, is available on request. The durable construction also improves the environmental footprint per use, because reused bags need replacing less often.

Can material, colour and finish be tailored to our occasion?

Yes. We tailor thickness, colour and finish to your application – whether a conference run, a gift series or a retail edition. We recommend embroidery for premium logos, laser and die-cut details for design editions, and screen or DTF printing for event runs. Minimum quantities, lead times and prices are clarified individually in your quotation.

Guide: Felt bags – what your brand should know

Where felt bags create the most brand value

Felt bags deliver their value where the first tactile impression shapes how a brand is perceived: as corporate gifts and gift sets, as delegate or speaker bags at conferences, in limited launch kits and at the upmarket point of sale of lifestyle, design and beauty brands. Because the felt holds its shape and does not collapse, the bag stands securely and showcases your product instead of merely carrying it.

A bag that feels high-quality in the hand is not thrown away but reused. Every use at the office, on the go or at the next event is another brand impression and lowers your cost per impression. The matt surface and calm look ensure your logo is noticed in a premium setting.

Use cases: from the conference bag to the launch kit

At trade fairs and conferences, the felt bag is more than a giveaway: as a speaker or VIP bag, it signals appreciation, because the material thickness and sealed edge create a look and feel that thin film or non-woven bags cannot match. As a corporate gift, the bag itself becomes part of the present and carries the brand on long after the contents have been unpacked.

In premium retail and for launch editions, brands make use of the material’s design freedom: die-cut handles, cut-outs and laser details can be executed cleanly. With RPET felt made from PET bottles, you also combine a premium presence with a verifiable sustainability argument.

What marketing, procurement and agencies gain

Felt is the right choice when the per-unit budget should go into brand impact rather than volume. Shape retention and a pleasant hand feel turn the promotional item into an object your customers like to keep – extending the visibility of your message and supporting your premium positioning.

We tailor thickness, colour and finish to your specific application – whether a conference run, a gift series or a retail edition; production in the EU is possible. The durable construction also improves the environmental footprint per use, because a reused bag needs replacing less often.

Felt or another material?

Felt is your choice for occasions where feel, structure and quality determine the brand impression. If the priority is robust, water-repellent everyday bags for heavy loads in large runs, PP woven or RPET models such as the CityShopper are a better fit. For an elegant single-use presentation at the point of sale, paper plays to its strengths; for a natural fabric character with years of reuse, cotton or jute.
