Foldable polyester shopping bags are ultra-light shoppers made from finely woven 190T or 210T polyester (approx. 60–75 g/m²) that fold into a built-in pouch of approx. 10–15 cm and measure approx. 38 × 42 cm when unfolded. They are tear-resistant, water-repellent, carry approx. 8–15 kg and are optionally available in 100 % recycled rPET. They are mainly printed by sublimation, which bonds photorealistic designs permanently into the fibre – ideal as a giveaway or loyalty gift.
Polyester bags are the textile, sporty option among our carrier solutions: a finely and densely woven polyester fabric (PET) that feels noticeably softer than the stiffer PP woven bag and looks modern with its subtle silky sheen. From the ultra-light 190T foldable shopper through 210D to 420D qualities to the robust 600D version, you get one consistent material family.
The hallmark of the lighter qualities is foldability: as a foldable shopping bag, the 190T/210T shopper folds into a fist-sized pack inside its built-in pouch – an advertising medium that is always to hand. The fabric is tear-resistant, holds its shape and is water-repellent; an optional PU or PVC coating makes heavier models practically waterproof.
Design-wise, polyester comes into its own with sublimation printing: the ink bonds permanently with the fibre, creating photorealistic designs from seam to seam – vibrant, sharp and soft to the touch, with no print film on the surface. On request, we produce in 100 % recycled polyester (rPET) with the same look and feel.

Ideal for
Polyester bags are made from finely woven polyester (PET) and feel textile, soft and sporty; the lighter qualities are foldable. PP woven bags are made from laminated polypropylene fabric and are firmer and stiffer. Polyester is mainly finished with sublimation printing, PP woven usually with gravure printing beneath the laminate.
The lightweight 190T/210T shopper measures approx. 38 × 42 cm open and folds into a built-in pouch of approx. 10–15 cm. That means it fits in any jacket pocket or handbag and is always to hand.
The dense polyester weave is naturally water-repellent. With an optional PU or PVC coating, heavier models become practically waterproof. We’ll work out the right version based on how you plan to use them.
Depending on the quality, foldable shoppers carry approx. 8–15 kg. Bags made from ripstop fabric or 600D polyester carry up to around 20–25 kg. The fibre doesn’t stretch or shrink, so the bag keeps its shape.

For all-over, photorealistic designs, sublimation printing is the method of choice because the ink passes permanently into the fibre. For logos, screen or transfer printing are options; for a premium textile look, embroidery on the heavier qualities.
The T and D ratings describe the fabric quality: 190T and 210T are ultra-light fabrics of approx. 60–75 g/m² – the basis for foldable pocket shoppers that stow away in their built-in pouch and carry approx. 8–15 kg. They are ideal for giveaways and loyalty gifts that should always be to hand.
Mid-range qualities from 210D to 420D produce more substantial, shape-retaining bags for sport, leisure and trade shows. The heavy 600D quality at up to 200–300 g/m² and ripstop fabric carry up to around 20–25 kg; with a PU or PVC coating, they become practically waterproof.
In sublimation printing, the ink passes into the synthetic fibre instead of sitting on the fabric as a layer. This allows designs to run edge to edge, from seam to seam – vibrant, sharp and scratch-resistant, with a soft handle. For seasonal collections, festivals or brand editions, that’s a clear advantage over natural fibres.
